This configuration page allows you to customise the behaviour of switch inputs, including PIR (Passive Infrared) motion sensors or other switch-type devices connected to a LeakNet Gen2 unit. You can set a specific delay time and assign a trigger function that occurs when the sensor/switch is activated.
This setting page will only show if your input type is configured as a switch, and is primarily used for scenarios like using PIR sensors to detect occupancy or controlling a valve based on a switch input.
Page Overview
The configuration page displays the current settings and provides a form to change them.
- Current Delay: Shows the currently configured delay time in seconds (s). This delay is added after any inherent hardware delay in the sensor itself. The default delay is 2 seconds.
- Current Function: Shows the action currently configured to trigger when the sensor/switch activates (before the delay). The default function is None.
- New Delay: A slider allows you to select a new delay time. The slider value maps non-linearly to the actual time to easily select seconds, minutes or hours.
- New Function: A dropdown menu lets you select the action to be performed when the switch/sensor activates (before the delay period).
- Save: Once you are satisfied with the new Delay and Function settings, click the Set Delay & Function button. The device should restart and download the new settings.
Available Functions
You can select one of the following functions to be triggered:
0. None: No specific action is taken (Default).
- Close Valve: The system's valve will close.
- Open Valve: The system's valve will open.
- Normally Closed Valve - Open Temporarily: The valve will open temporarily for the delay period after the switch has de-activated, then close again.
- Normally Open Valve - Close Temporarily: The valve will close temporarily for the delay period after the switch has de-activated, then open again.
- Reset Device / Silence Alarm: This can be used to reset the connected LeakNet device to silence the audible alarm.
- Disable Valve: Prevents the valve from being closing automatically due to a major leak alert (use with caution). It will continue for the delay period after the switch has de-activated.
Important Considerations
- Delay: This applies to any function being used e.g. if a delay of 5 minutes and function 3 is selected, then the valve will open when the switch is activated, and remain open until 5 minutes after the switch has de-activated.
- Default Values: If no settings have been previously configured for this device, it will use a default delay of 2 seconds and the default function "None".
- Valve Requirement: Functions involving valve control (1, 2, 3, 4, 6) require a compatible valve to be installed and configured.
