To ensure accurate detection, it's important that the leak cable is dry when the device is reset or calibrated. This is because the device uses the current wetness level as a baseline.
Alert Levels
The device has six different alert levels:
- Normal: The leak cable is dry and no water has been detected.
- Leak cable fault: The leak cable is not connected properly or is damaged. This alert triggers immediately.
- Minor Leak: A small amount of water has been detected. You will receive an alert via email/SMS. This alert triggers immediately.
- Minor Leak Worsening: The amount of water detected is increasing and has remained at an elevated level for 3 minutes.
- Major Leak: A significant amount of water has been detected for 3 minutes. You will receive an alert via email/SMS, the connected valve will close, and an alarm will sound.
- Major Leak Worsening: The amount of water detected is increasing and has remained at a high level for 3 minutes after the initial Major Leak alert.
Stopping the Alarm
If a major leak is detected, the alarm will sound and the connected valve will close. To stop the alarm, you can:
- Dry the device completely. The alarm will automatically stop after 30 seconds.
- Reset the device.
- Open the valve.
Important: Make sure the device is completely dry before resetting or opening the valve.
False Alerts
If the device is giving false alerts, you can recalibrate it. However, it is essential to make sure that the device is completely dry before doing so. This will help to prevent further false alerts.
Additional Tips
- Regularly check the leak cable for damage.
- Make sure the leak cable is properly connected to the device.
