Alert preferences
You have the option of receiving water consumption alerts as either SMS, email or both. The default is both if you entered your mobile number at registration, or email if not.
You must add a mobile number to your account before you can enable SMS alerts.
The update button will be disabled if there is no mobile number linked to your account.
Timezone Preference
If you live outside of the UK (which is selected by default) and would like graphs and alerts to show the time local to your region, please update your timezone preference.
- First click Change.
- Select your region, then select the specific timezone from the dropdown list. For example America -> UTC-05:00 New York.
- Then click Set.
Add Mobile Number
- Select Country code (UK by default).
- Enter your mobile phone number (you can skip initial zero).
- Click the ‘Add‘ button.
- An SMS containing a 4-digit confirm code will be sent to your mobile. Enter this into the page which appears, but be quick – this expires after 10 minutes!
- Once the mobile number has been confirmed, a success page will display with a link to your dashboard.
On your ‘User settings’ page, the SMS option and update button will now be enabled and ‘Change Phone Number’ option would now be displayed instead of ‘Add Mobile Number’
