Training Mode

Created by Dan Simmons, Modified on Wed, 6 Nov at 4:49 PM by Dan Simmons

Training mode allows for the creation of water consumption thresholds which are active at all times unless a holiday threshold is set. Training mode is intended as a stopgap rather than a permanent solution, allowing for the detection of potential leaks while FlowReporter is still gathering enough data to learn your more specific water consumption.

After a flow sensor has been installed for at least 7 days, users are encouraged to switch to our Dynamic AI.

To create or modify a training mode alarm:

  • In your sensor's settings page, click the "Configure Leak Detection" button.
  • Ensure that the option "Training Mode" is selected. This will be the only option available if the device has been installed for less than 7 days.
  • Move the “Alert me” and “Shut off completely” sliders to the desired values.
  • Click the “Save” button.

At any point, you can adjust the values more precisely – just click “Enter Specific Value” and type the desired numbers in.
