In the real-time view, you will see your consumption of water second by second*.
This is great when you want to quickly find the source of a leak;
By switching the water off to a particular branch and checking if the flow then drops to zero proves that the leak is on that branch. Continue that process downstream until you reach the source of the leak.
*If you are monitoring a water meter, the resolution may be lower at every 12 seconds.
